THE SURF.ART

WHO WE ARE

Surf.Art is a social innovation initiative by the Pressley Ridge Association, implemented since January 2013, by surfing mentors Paulo Canas and Nuno Fazenda. Its mission is to promote social well-being, mental health, and develop the potential and autonomy of children and young people through SURF and contact with Nature.

REASON FOR EXISTENCE

Thousands of children and young people at risk identified by the Commission for the Protection of Children and Young People (CPCJ)

Eviction of children and young people and adoption of deviant behaviors

Increasing lack of contact with Nature in the daily lives of children and young people.

OUR SOLUTION

Um programa de Educação Vivencial e Terapia pela

Aventura, onde as crianças e jovens são envolvidas ativamente nas sessões de Surf. Através do aprender fazendo e das reflexões em grupo sobre as suas experiências no mar, as crianças desenvolvem competências para a vida.
