METHODOLOGICAL BASIS
EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND ADVENTURE THERAPY
They emphasize practical and participatory learning. The first targets interpersonal skills and problem solving through challenging and reflective activities. The second uses outdoor experiences and playful activities as therapeutic tools for personal growth and emotional overcoming.
PRINCIPLES OF RE-EDUCATION
Re-education, based on educational, psychological and ecological principles, aims to strengthen support systems, reduce discrepancies between them and enable children to use normal affective, formative and disciplinary resources. Developed by Nicholas Hobbs in 1994, this model meets the therapeutic intervention needs of children and young people with emotional and behavioral challenges.
CIRCLE
OF COURAGE
Martin Brokenleg's "Circle of Courage," originating in observation of husbandry practices in Native American communities, has expanded into educational and therapeutic contexts. Highlights 4 vital elements for healthy development: Belonging (connection and acceptance), Mastery (development of skills), Independence (autonomous decision-making) and Generosity (contribution to the common good)
ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THEORY - ACT
Steven C. Hayes' psychotherapeutic approach that integrates cognitive, behavioral and mindfulness strategies. It emphasizes accepting thoughts and emotions, identifying personal values, and taking action in line with those values. It includes mindfulness, detachment from thoughts and a broad view of the self, aiming for a more meaningful and balanced life.
